Why the price is in pounds
Apple does not sell direct in Bulgaria - apple.com/bg carries no prices at all, only a "where to buy" finder. So this one is ordered from Apple UK and collected in person from a London store. The figure Apple charges is £5,149, including UK VAT, for exactly the configuration listed above; the link goes straight to that page so you can check it line for line.
The euro figure on this page is that price converted at the rate on the day the page went up, because the auction is denominated in euros. The rate moves and the pound figure does not, so the pound figure is the real one.
Why the big one
Because the lid is the product. This one is 35.6 by 24.8 cm, about 880 cm² of flat aluminium, against roughly 690 on the 14". That is a quarter more surface carried by the same person to the same places, so every placement on it is physically bigger for the brand holding it - the marquee is 14.2 cm across rather than 12.5.
Silver rather than Space Black for the same reason. A light lid is a better background for a logo than a dark one: most brand marks are drawn to sit on white, and on silver they arrive looking like themselves instead of needing a knocked-out version.
